Welcome to the Bierton Pre-School Committee Page
Bierton Pre-school is a charity, successfully run by members of staff and a volunteer parent committee. We as committee members are responsible for the overall management and smooth-running of the setting. This can mean anything from organising a fundraising event, to negotiating with the parish council over the construction of a new fence!
We often have to remind people that we are a charity meaning we are a not-for-profit making organisation. Fundraising events are critical to us and help in a number of ways, from buying your child’s weekly healthy snack, or allowing us to purchase materials for craft-making activities and projects, or simply allowing us to update our resources.
The majority of the work the committee does is fun. We regularly meet (informally and usually once every 4 to 6 weeks) to come up with new fundraising ideas, and often have the opportunity to launch exciting new plans and projects. It’s a great way to meet new people, learn new skills, and share ideas, whilst benefitting our little people!
All parents, guardians and carers are welcome to attend any of our open committee meetings.
